🧴 What do the symbols on your cosmetics mean?
Have you ever picked up a product and thought:
“Okay… but what is this little bunny supposed to mean? 🐰😅”
You’re not alone!
Most of us see these small symbols on packaging and… just ignore them.
👉 But they actually give you important information about the product you’re using.
Let’s break them down in a simple and clear way 👇
🐰 Cruelty Free (the “bunny”)
This means the product has not been tested on animals 🩷
👉 It’s one of the most recognized symbols in beauty
and represents a more ethical approach to production.
🌱 Vegan
This means the product does not contain any animal-derived ingredients 🌿
⚠️ Important:
Vegan ≠ Cruelty Free
(A product can be vegan but still tested on animals — so always check both 😉)
♻️ Recycling
This indicates that the packaging is recyclable ♻️
👉 Sometimes you’ll also see numbers (like 1, 2, 5)
which refer to the type of plastic.
🕒 PAO (Period After Opening)
The little open jar symbol with “6M”, “12M” etc. means:
👉 How long the product is safe to use
after opening
Example:
12M = 12 months after opening ⏳
📦 Lot Number
Not exactly a symbol, but you’ll find it on the packaging.
👉 It’s the batch number
and helps with product traceability (very important for safety).
🇬🇷 Made in…
This shows the country where the product is manufactured.
At REVCARE you’ll see:
👉 Made in Greece 🇬🇷
(and yes… we’re proud of it 😌)
💬 So… why do these symbols matter?
Because they tell you:
✔ what you’re putting on your skin
✔ how to use it correctly
✔ and what the brand stands for
💡 Small tip:
Next time you grab a product…
take a second to check the symbols before using it 😉
